Holt is seeking a highly motivated Drainage/Water Resources Engineer who will be responsible for design efforts for transportation infrastructure and development projects. Tasks will include, but are not limited to, preparation of technical studies and reports, engineering design concepts, construction plans, specifications, opinions of construction costs, and assistance during construction phase services including field observation.
Qualifications:
• Bachelor’s Degree in Civil Engineering or related field
• 4+ years of previous drainage and/or water resources experience
• Licensed Professional Engineer in SC, GA, or NC, or the ability to become licensed is preferred.
• Perform design and coordinate drainage preparation of plans and details using AutoCAD/Civil-3D, MicroStation, Bentley Design Software, GeoPAK Drainage and MS Office.
• Demonstrated work experience with hydrologic and hydraulic computer programs including HEC-RAS, HEC-HMS, HY-8, SWMM, and ArcGIS.
A successful candidate will have a thorough knowledge and application of all FHWA and state DOT design standards and specifications and the ability to balance the need for independent and collaborative efforts. Candidate should possess the ability to solve problems using sound professional judgment, creativity, and innovation.
This position will primarily work in an office setting; may require some travel and field work.
