Holt Goes the Extra Mile

Formed in June of 2013, Holt Consulting Company is a team of transportation specialists providing engineering consulting, design services, and proactive project management for state and local governments in SC, GA, TN, NC, and FL. Our joint founders, Ken and Paul Holt, have a combined 75+ years of experience in the industry and therefore possess a keen awareness of the attributes of highly successful projects: attention to quality, timely execution of the work, and communication, with the ultimate goal being to exceed client expectations.

Most of our personnel have been performing engineering consulting and design services for state and local governments their entire careers. The combined training of Holt professionals represents a broad mix of both aviation and surface transportation projects providing planning, environmental, design, construction, and management services. This well-rounded background yields a comprehensive view that serves our clients well: understanding the various phases of a project and how each are interrelated. Our work helps make communities safer and more efficient, with the least maintenance cost. Impacting the places where you live and work through meaningful transportation solutions is what we do best.

Principal

With 40 years of experience as an engineering consultant, Paul's career at The LPA Group Incorporated, later Michael Baker Jr., Inc., saw him progress through roles such as Project Engineer, Project Manager, Principal-in-Charge, Regional Vice-President, and Senior Vice-President. His responsibilities encompassed corporate oversight, operational management of southern region offices, and strategic financial planning. Paul excels in balancing business operations with successful project delivery, emphasizing the importance of exceeding client expectations. As a leader at Holt Consulting Company, he ensures technical accuracy, makes critical design decisions, and prioritizes superior client service in every project phase.

Principal

In his 38-year career, Ken has been a pivotal force in various project phases, showcasing expertise in airport master plans, environmental assessments, runway and taxiway design, and construction inspection. With a significant managerial role at The LPA Group Incorporated spanning 12 years, Ken spearheaded firm-wide planning and established the Environmental Unit. Ken's success extends to developing innovative funding strategies for airport projects and facilitating aviation-related industrial pursuits, leveraging his extensive experience to provide comprehensive solutions that consider the bigger picture. Since 1997, he has served as Principal-In-Charge on numerous projects, solidifying his seasoned leadership in the field.
