Job Description
Holt Consulting Company** (Holt) is a multi-discipline engineering firm that provides planning, design, and management services for transportation infrastructure. Holt’s relationship-based culture coupled with responsive communication and action makes us the consultant of choice for state and local governments. Our founders learned transportation consulting from the ground up; from performing the work to managing a wide variety of projects and programs. As a result, they possess a keen awareness of the attributes of highly successful projects: attention to quality, timely execution of the work, and communication, with the ultimate goal being to exceed client expectations.
Here at Holt, employees are the Firm’s most valuable asset. We are committed to an environment that fosters teamwork, provides opportunities and challenges for each employee to grow and reach their full potential, and recognizes and rewards them for their accomplishments, contributions, and outstanding performance. This type of environment generates a naturally self-motivating atmosphere, which results in a genuine desire by each employee to give the client 110%.
As part of the Holt Team, you will contribute to our continued success by: performing roadway design on interchange, intersection design, and highway improvement projects for DOT and municipal clients; developing and maintaining good working relationships with clients and engineering partners; proactively engaging with clients to prepare high quality and cost-effective solutions; working as a key team member and task manager and mentoring junior design staff; and actively assisting in new business development by contributing to strategic planning, marketing, and business operations planning.
A successful Holt candidate will have the following: Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering (or related engineering); 5 to 10 years of experience in roadway design and plans preparation; registration as a licensed EIT or PE in SC, GA, and/or NC (or ability to become registered in those states); strong roadway design and plans preparation experience on DOT-related projects; experience with MicroStation, InRoads, GeoPAK, or OpenRoads; excellent interpersonal, written, and verbal communication skills; and be an advocate of great teamwork.
