This project addressed the need to rehabilitate the main runway. This project will include the following: 2 inches of asphalt milling, 2-3 inches of asphalt pavement overlay, runway grooving, runway marking, taxiway taper corrections to Taxiway C, and re-designation from Runway 17-35 to Runway 18-36, as well as signage panel corrections for the runway re-designation and taxiway designation corrections.

Project Highlights

A water table issue during construction caused Holt to have to design an underdrain system for 1,300 feet of the runway during construction.  The design was accomplished in a short time frame and the contractor was able to install the underdrain system so the project was able to be completed without major grading and drainage changes to the area.
