General Aviation Terminal and Hangar Development Project

Aviation

Project Description

This project provided a new 4,800 SF terminal building and adjacent 11,900 SF storage hangar.  Working with local architects at JMA, the Holt Team designed and bid the previously mentioned buildings in two schedules (A and B).  Due to escalated construction prices from the volatile COVID economy, the project required extensive value engineering and cost negotiations with the contractor to allow a project within the Airport Authority’s budget.  In addition to the buildings, the project included 1,800 SY of new asphalt pavement, access road and parking lot, drainage improvements, and new utilities, including power, communications, water, fire protection and a septic system.
